Method - Mix boiling water,bicarbonate of soda and dates to soak.leave it one hour.cream sugar and margarine together.add vanilla,almond essence ,eggs one at a time while beating all the time.Fold in flour which has sifted three time with baking powder alternately with the date mixture and the cashew nuts. Pour the mixture into lined baking tray and bake in per-heated oven 175 -180℃ for 45minutes...
